Travis Cooper is an Olympic weightlifter and coach based out of Charlotte, NC. He has been a competitor at the National level for 7 years, and has coached lifters at a national level for the past 3 years. He is a 4 time Junior Nationals medalist, National Champion, American Open Champion, Pan Am Broze Medalist, and a World University Medalist.
He has been a part of the Junior World team, and he has twice been a part of the World University Championships. He has coached a Junior National and Senior National medalist, and was the first ever Women’s coach for the Pakistan Weightlifting Federation. He served as the head women’s coach for the Pakistan Weightlifting Federation at the 2011 World Championships and the 2012 Asian Games.
He is one of the few lifters to be able to say that he has trained at the Olympic Training Center, LSUS, California Strength, and MDUSA for an extended period of time. Through these experiences he has gained a diverse wealth of knowledge that allows him to create programs for any lifter!
As a part of the new Team MDUSA, he aspires to train for the 2016 Olympics.
